Quad Lock Honda Calls Up Aussie Young Gun for Sweden
Alex Larwood will make his World Supercross (WSX) debut in Sweden this weekend after Quad Lock Honda called up their leading AUSX 250 rider to bolster its roster and maintain momentum in the Teams Championship race which they currently lead.

The run-up to Sweden has forced unavoidable changes to Honda’s WSX SX2 lineup. Wilson Todd, who competed in Canada, unfortunately suffered a broken foot, an injury requiring a minimum of eight weeks of recovery. Anthony Bourdon, originally brought in to replace Brodie Connolly following his scaphoid surgery, is unable to compete due to other racing commitments.

In response, Quad Lock Honda has moved decisively to promote Larwood, fresh off finishing second overall in the Australian Championship, including a dominant win in the final round. Sweden will mark his WSX debut and his first professional race outside Australia. “It’s a great opportunity and a privilege to line up with Quad Lock Honda, they’ve achieved success all over the world. I still have a lot to learn, and I’m excited to see where I stack up against some of the world’s best,” said Larwood.

The call-up underscores Quad Lock Honda’s emphasis on both immediate results and long-term development. The team delivered strong results at the Gold Coast in Round 3 and now turns its full attention to Sweden. Christian Craig and Joey Savatgy currently sit 2nd and 3rd in the SX1 championship standings, and with Roczen out, the title fight has opened up considerably.
For Craig, the WSX campaign has provided the reset he was searching for after several difficult seasons. “The team, the people, the staff, we’re all aligned. We know the championship is wide open, and we’re confident we can continue to contend for it,” Craig said.
Team Director Yarrive Konsky shares that conviction and points to a unified program ahead of the European stop. “Everyone is working in unison. We have a clear goal and we’re prepared. The riders are doing their jobs, and we’re there to complement them,” said Konsky.
