Dylan Walsh and the KTM Racing Team earned an MX2 podium finish at Round 4 of the 2026 Australian ProMX Championship in Toowoomba on Sunday, while MX1 contender Zac Watson powered to a top-five result at the picturesque Echo Valley circuit.

Walsh recorded the fifth-fastest qualifying time aboard his KTM 250 SX-F in Queensland, before delivering a measured fourth-place finish in Moto 1. He then improved to third in Moto 2, with his 4-3 scorecard earning second overall for the round.

As the championship reaches its halfway point, Walsh sits fourth in the MX2 standings with three podiums to his credit, just 17 points from the series lead entering Appin on June 14.

Dylan Walsh: “The track was really good here – I enjoyed how it was prepared and how it shaped up. I didn’t get the best start in Moto 1, but I felt really good, and then changed something for the second race, which helped my start. I lost a bit of that good feeling during the race, but it was a good day overall – we’re making solid strides and we’ll keep pushing hard to be in the fight at the end.”

MX2 teammate Byron Dennis was also impressive across the weekend once again, guiding his KTM 250 SX-F to third on the qualifying timesheets with a 2:02.248s lap time, before recording a fifth-place result in Moto 1 around the high-speed, technical track layout.

A sixth-place finish in Moto 2 saw the 19-year-old secure sixth overall for the round, maintaining third position in the standings following four rounds of competition.

Byron Dennis: “It wasn’t my best day at Toowoomba. I feel like my results didn’t really match my riding, because both myself and the bike felt pretty good, actually. A few things let me down, but we’ll work on those areas, clean it up, and be back for Appin!”

Equipped with the KTM 450 SX-F, Watson posted the seventh-fastest qualifying time across both the opening MX1 session and the high-intensity Pole Shootout at Toowoomba.

He was then caught in a first-turn incident during Moto 1, before charging through the field to finish fifth, ending the race within two seconds of fourth position in a spirited ride. A sixth-place result in Moto 2 earned the Queenslander fifth overall for Round 4, which sees him climb to sixth in the MX1 standings.

Zac Watson: “Toowoomba was good! I had a terrible start in Moto 1 and got caught up in a first-turn pile-up, which was unfortunate, but I put in a good ride to come back to fifth in that one. Second moto, we had a much better start, and then kind of just got into a bit of a groove – we didn’t quite have enough to catch fifth. P5 overall for the day was not bad – we’re making progress, and we’ll continue to do so entering Appin.”

KTM Racing Team-supported MX3 rider Jackson Fuller posted another strong outing aboard his KTM 250 SX-F, with two P5 results across the double-moto format seeing him achieve fifth overall.
