AMA Supercross Championship postponed until further notice | News

Over the weekend it was confirmed the AMA Supercross Championship has been officially postponed until further notice.

Furthermore, the next five scheduled rounds have been cancelled. If the supercross series resumes at all there will only be two rounds of competition left; Las Vegas, scheduled for April 25 and Salt Lake City, scheduled for May 2.

Kawasaki’s Eli Tomac currently leads the 450SX Championship points standings on 226 points, three points ahead of Honda’s Ken Roczen on 223 while defending champion, KTM’s Cooper Webb, is third on 197.

If the series resumes for Las Vegas and Salt Lake City we will have a close battle for the championship. If they decide to cancel the series we could see Tomac crowned champion based on results from the previous 10 rounds.
