Kyron Bacon claims another consecutive E1 class win plus fastest overall time of the day.

Kyron Bacon posted the fastest overall time at Round 10 in the 2022 Yamaha Australian Off-Road Championship presented by MXstore (AORC).

E1

Bacon claimed another consecutive E1 class win plus fastest overall time of the day of 59:02.532! The Yamaha rider pushed hard to create a strong Championship lead on day 2 of the competition.

GasGas’s Korey McMahon claimed second place with Cooper Sheidow (Kessner Motorcycles, KTM Australia) rounding out the E1 podium.

Josh Green (Shop Yamaha Offroad Racing Team) claimed the Round 10 win with an injured hand and continues to build his lead in the E2 Championship.

Rounding out the E2 podium today was Beta’s Fraser Higlett and Riley Graham (Yamaha, SKDA).

Andy Wilksch (Simford Racing, Husqvarna), found day 2 of competition more of a struggle as he fought his Husqvarna though very tight and technical tests through strict ruts.

Jonte Reynders (Motul Pirelli Sherco Team) landed a consecutive podium followed by KTM’s Jye Dickson.

Jess Gardiner (Yamaha JGR Ballard’s Off Road Team) finished Round 10 notching up consecutive EW wins and 100 podiums.

In second place once again this weekend, was Emelie Karlsson (KTM Offroad Racing Team) followed by Yamaha’s Taylor Thompson in third.

Riley McGillivray (Shepparton Motorcycles, KTM), Will Dennett (Yamaha Australia) and Billy Hargy (Husqvarna Offroad Racing Team) all pushed hard but McGillivray just couldn’t be beaten, finishing nearly 10 seconds ahead of Dennett followed by Hargy in third.

EM (Masters)

John Baker (KTM Ballina Motorcycles) reclaimed the gold creating a strong one minute lead ahead of Peter Rudd (Kessner Motorcycles, Husqvarna) in second place for Round 10, beating Michael Widdison (Heavy Mechanical Service P/L) to the silver by over one minute.

Lee Stephens (True Painting, KTM Newcastle), reclaimed his first-place podium spot in EV with Christopher Thomas (Thomas Lee KTM), having to settle for second with just over 16 seconds separating the pair.

Rowan Pumpa (Kessner Motorcycles, Husqvarna) took the final podium spot.
