The new MC-E 2.12 joins the existing MC-E 2, with both motorcycles designed as entry-level off-road machines for young riders.
The main difference between the two models is wheel size. The MC-E 2.12 runs a 12-inch front wheel and 10-inch rear, while the standard MC-E 2 uses 10-inch wheels at both ends.
Both models share the same rear-wheel hub-mounted electric motor, eliminating the need for a conventional chain and sprockets.
The electric drivetrain also removes the need for fuel mixing and reduces the number of mechanical components requiring regular maintenance.

Three power modes and adjustable top speeds
Both models feature three selectable riding modes, allowing parents to limit the motorcycle’s maximum speed according to the rider’s experience.
The available settings are:
-
Mode 1: 7km/h maximum speed
-
Mode 2: 20km/h maximum speed
-
Mode 3: 33km/h maximum speed
GASGAS has also included two safety systems designed specifically for junior riders.
A rollover sensor automatically cuts power if the motorcycle tips over, while a wrist-mounted safety lanyard stops the motor if the rider becomes separated from the bike.
Removable battery and fast charging
Both models use a removable lithium-ion battery that can be charged to 80 per cent in approximately 35 minutes, with a full charge taking around one hour.
The battery uses a mounting arrangement similar to those found on modern cordless power tools, allowing compatible charged batteries to be swapped between riding sessions.
GASGAS has not provided battery capacity or estimated riding time in the announcement.

Adjustable ergonomics and chassis
Another feature shared by both models is adjustable seat height, allowing the riding position to be raised as children grow.
The adjustment can be completed using basic tools, extending the period riders can use the same motorcycle before moving to a larger model.
Both bikes use an aluminium frame and swingarm, along with WP suspension and hydraulic disc brakes at the front and rear.
The wheels are fitted with KENDA off-road tyres, while ODI components and black-anodised wheels and handlebars are also included.
For 2027, both models feature red bodywork, updated graphics and black wheels, following the styling of GASGAS’s full-size off-road motorcycles.
