Jett Lawrence denied overall podium at RedBud II | News

GEICO Honda's Jett Lawrence finished sixth overall at RedBud II after being denied a shot at a podium result when he was taken down by a fallen rider.

Lawrence finished third in RedBud II Moto 1 and was running in sixth with 10 minutes to go in Moto 2, putting him in an overall podium position.

Unfortunately for 17-year-old Jett, Yamaha rider Ty Masterpool crashed in front of him and with nowhere to go, Jett was taken down by Masterpool fallen bike.

He remounted to finish eighth in the Moto which put him sixth overall.

After the RedBud II race, Jett took to Instagram to say he’s happy with the progress but frustrated with how things unfolded in Moto 2.

Jett’s brother, Hunter, didn’t turn in the result he’d hoped for at RedBud II, going 12-26 for 18th overall.
