Portuguese and Spanish Enduro GP POSTPONED | News

The FIM Enduro World Championship has announced the GP of Portugal and the GP of Spain scheduled for April 17-19 and April 24-26 have been postponed.

In a statement, the EnduroGP said;

The Coronavirus Covid-19 has had major consequences and been of real concern in Europe for the past few months, and various countries are starting to take important measures to curb its spread.

The EnduroGP Championship is feeling the impact of this, with the first two Grand Prix of the season now postponed.

The Portuguese & Spanish government have decided to suspend all sporting events until further notice.

Because of this, the Grand Prix of Portugal and Spain, which were due to take place on April 17-19 and April 24-26, have been postponed.

The FIM, FMP (Portuguese Federation), RFME (Spanish Federation), ABC Communication and the organizing clubs are in the process of evaluating the possibilities of alternative dates later in the season.

The Coronavirus outbreak has seen several other dirtbike events around the world postponed or cancelled. This weekend’s round of the AMA Supercross Championship in Indianapolis has been cancelled. The news comes after the Seattle round scheduled for March 28 was cancelled yesterday.

The FIM Motocross World Championship MXGP of Patagonia, MXGP of Spain and MXGP of Portugal have been postponed and the opening round of the Australian MX Nationals has also been postponed.
