I’ve been running the Interphone Smart Air Pump in my kit for the past six months and it’s quietly become one of those tools you don’t realise you rely on until it’s there. Whether it’s topping up the kids dirtbikes before a lap round the local track or reinflating farm tyres, it’s been stupidly convenient. We’ve been adding around 5psi to our motorcycle tyres almost every ride and, in that time, we’ve only had to recharge it once, which is wild for something this small.
What makes it stand out is how much tech Interphone has packed into such a compact unit. It’s got four dedicated pumping modes (car, motorcycle, bicycle and ball), a dual display so you can see real-time pressure and target pressure at the same time, plus an auto-stop function so you don’t accidentally overcook a tyre. The integrated hose means there’s nothing to forget or lose, and the LED emergency light and built-in power bank mean it also doubles as a backup charger and torch when you’re out bush or stuck roadside.

In use, it’s simple. You set the pressure, hit go and let it do its thing. It’ll inflate up to four tyres in under four minutes if you need it to, and the battery will happily sit there for months on standby without dying. It also feels properly durable, though it’s not featherweight, it’s a little heavier than you might expect, and Interphone does make a smaller version that could be a better option if you’re chasing the lightest possible backpack setup.
This isn’t the full long-term verdict yet, just our first proper test, but so far it’s been faultless. It’s one of those rare products that does exactly what it says on the box without fuss. Stay tuned as we leave it in the pack for more trail-side testing
