ALPINESTARS KNOWS HOW to build hype before a product launch and with the Supertech M10 (SM10) it took it to another level.
I don’t usually get caught up in hype but after months of build up I wanted one of these Alps helmets, badly!
So you can imagine when a size medium SM10 landed in the ADB office and Mitch slid it over to my table I was excited to say the least. The SM10 is Alps’ entry into the high-end of the motocross helmet market and they’ve made a splash.
For starters the shell is carbon multi-composite and the exterior fibre is high-density 3K carbon so it’s super rigid and extremely strong. The shell is built to such fine tolerances that each fit size has its own shell mould.
The helmet features A-stars’ own A-Head fitting system. It allows the helmet to be tuned exactly to the rider’s head shape and preference. The height and angle at which the helmet sits on the head can be adjusted with a micro-adjustable pad that is connected to the inner shell.
