After spending proper time riding in the full Leatt kit, this follow-up is less about first impressions and more about how the gear actually holds up when it’s been sweated in, washed, and used the way riding gear should be. The quality we expected when we first got it has held up well.

We liked

  • Overall quality: Leatt gear has always prioritised protection and performance, and that focus is obvious once you’ve lived in it for a while.
  • Boot quality: The boots stand out for their build quality and how well they’ve worn over time, with nothing loosening or feeling tired.
  • Helmet comfort: The helmet remains extremely comfortable, even on longer rides, with padding that hasn’t packed down or lost shape.
  • Goggle fit and vision: The goggles are shaped really well, give excellent field of vision, and integrate perfectly with the helmet.
  • Jersey weight and feel: The jersey is light, breathable, and never feels restrictive when moving around on the bike.
  • Pant comfort: The pants are comfortable all day, move well on the bike, and don’t bind or restrict when riding aggressively.
  • Fit security: The pants stay up properly, fasten well, and don’t require constant adjustment during a ride.

We didn’t like

  • Initial boot fit for wide feet: Out of the box, the boots pinched slightly on the sides for wider feet, though this disappeared once they wore in.

Verdict

After real-world use, this Leatt kit has proven that its reputation for quality isn’t just marketing talk. Everything fits well, wears in nicely, and continues to perform without drama, with the boots in particular improving the more they’re used. Once broken in, the entire setup is comfortable, functional, and exactly what you want from premium riding gear. Mat Boyd
