The 2025 Penrite ProMX Championship presented by AMX Superstores (ProMX) is pleased to announce the support of the Victorian Government, via its Significant Sporting Events Program (SSEP) for the opening round of the 2025 season at Wonthaggi.

Thanks to the support of host club, Dandenong Motorcycle Club, the Gippsland-based track will host the opening round of the championship for the fifth consecutive year, with the March 22-23 event to be held over two days to add spice to the spectacle.

Five classes will feature on the event schedule including MX1, Pirelli MX2, Maxxis MX3, Fox Racing MX85 and Ezilift MXW, and the FIM Oceania Women’s Motocross Cup for the first time in Australia.

The anticipation for the two-day spectacular will be intense as riders across all classes will have a keen eye towards getting the season off to a strong start, including reigning MX1 champion and hometown hero Kyle Webster, who resides in nearby Korumburra.

Wonthaggi has not only become one of the marquee rounds of the ProMX Championship, but its picturesque surrounds and wide-ranging hospitality throughout the region make it highly attractive for visitors from Melbourne, interstate and international. Visitors from the USA, Africa and New Zealand will descend on the region as part of the FIM Oceania Women’s Motocross Cup.
