Husqvarna Motorcycles has revealed its all-new 2027 FC 250 Factory Edition and FC 450 Factory Edition models, introducing significant engine, suspension and chassis changes across both motocross machines.
Developed using feedback from professional and amateur riders, the limited-production Factory Editions feature new frames, revised engine layouts, updated fuel injection systems and an entirely new WP XACT closed-cartridge spring fork.
Leading the changes is the FC 250 Factory Edition, which receives a completely redesigned 250cc DOHC engine featuring a higher compression ratio and increased rev limit.
The new engine incorporates an oval throttle body, revised inlet design and cylinder head with a machined combustion chamber, with Husqvarna targeting stronger performance throughout the rev range without sacrificing controllability.
Both Factory Editions also receive substantial engine updates, particularly to the top end, along with revised intake systems and new exhausts featuring resonator chambers in the header pipes.
Top-feed fuel injection and a new Engine Management System have been introduced on both models to improve throttle response, combustion efficiency and power delivery.
The engines have also been positioned slightly higher in the chassis, a change designed to improve anti-squat behaviour under acceleration.

NEW WP XACT CLOSED-CARTRIDGE SPRING FORK
One of the biggest developments for 2027 is the introduction of an all-new WP XACT closed-cartridge spring fork across both Factory Editions.
The move follows extensive back-to-back testing with riders ranging from amateurs to world championship competitors, with Husqvarna reporting improvements in front-end feel and damping consistency across different track conditions.
The new spring fork replaces the previous suspension concept and is designed to provide more predictable performance under heavy braking, repeated impacts and changing track conditions.
At the rear, the WP XACT shock has been repositioned and connected to a newly developed linkage system, with the revised layout also allowing for a straighter air intake.
Both motorcycles feature new frames with revised stiffness characteristics and updated chassis geometry, aimed at improving stability, cornering precision and overall handling.
Husqvarna has also revised the routing of the wiring harness and positioning of several components to simplify servicing and maintenance.

FACTORY COMPONENTS AS STANDARD
As expected from Husqvarna’s flagship motocross models, the FC 250 and FC 450 Factory Editions come fitted with a substantial list of premium components.
Both bikes receive WP PRO COMPONENTS Factory Racing triple clamps, Factory Racing wheelsets and a Factory Start Device.
A floating front Wave brake disc and front disc guard are also included, along with a Factory Skid Plate and Factory Racing frame protection.
The cockpit features ProTaper handlebars with a matching bar pad and soft grey ODI lock-on grips.
Other additions include a Rekluse outer clutch cover, Factory Racing seat with GUTS cover, black rear sprocket and gold racing chain.
Dunlop Geomax MX34 tyres are fitted as standard, while a new Team Husqvarna graphics kit is applied using in-mould technology for improved durability.
Both models feature predominantly white bodywork with dark blue accents and glossy white powder-coated frames, maintaining Husqvarna’s traditional factory racing appearance.
AUSTRALIAN ARRIVAL CONFIRMED FOR FEBRUARY
The 2027 Husqvarna FC 250 Factory Edition and FC 450 Factory Edition will be available in limited numbers through authorised Australian Husqvarna dealerships from February 2027.
New Zealand dealerships will also receive the FC 250 Factory Edition from February, although the FC 450 Factory Edition has not been confirmed for that market in the announcement.
Australian pricing and final production numbers have yet to be announced.
With completely revised engines, new chassis geometry and the introduction of WP’s closed-cartridge spring fork, the 2027 Factory Editions represent a significant technical update rather than a simple graphics and accessories package.
