When I first saw the Falco Terrex boots, I was keen to throw a leg over the bike and see how they’d stack up. At a glance they look very similar to something like an Alpinestars Tech 7, and straight out of the box they give off that same quality feel. They’re relatively lightweight for a full enduro boot, and the Micro-Synth upper and overall finish look on par with the bigger-name brands.
Once on, the comfort was the standout straight away. The fit around the foot is snug without being restrictive, and the support feels solid thanks to the reinforced toe and heel, along with the D3O ankle protection and external armour. On the bike, they offer good feel through the sole, which isn’t always the case with a brand-new boot. The Eso-Motion 2 rear articulation helps with movement as well, so they don’t feel overly stiff or awkward when you’re riding.
They’re built for proper off-road use too, with a High-Tex waterproof liner to keep your feet dry and a direct-injected high-grip sole that feels planted on the pegs and when you’re off the bike. The alloy buckle system is simple and secure, and the overall build feels solid and I reckon will last pretty well.
So far, the only small gripe is when walking around in them. They dig into the front of my lower leg just above the ankle a bit, which you notice more off the bike than on it. It’s not a deal breaker by any means, just something to keep an eye on as they wear in. Overall, though, for the price, I’m impressed and looking forward to getting more time in them to see how they hold up long term.
