TUNED IN | DIRT BIKE BURRITO PODCAST – JULY | Latest | News

We catch up with the crew from the Dirt Bike Burrito Podcast to see who they’ve had on the mic that you can’t miss!

We love the Dirt Bike Burrito (DBB) Podcast. We see the DBB podcast as an audio version of ADB. They travel the country each month catching up with racers and trailriders to talk about what makes them tick. It makes for some great listening while you’re crunching out the highway kays! Here’s a snapshot of what they got up to last month and the podcasts you don’t want to miss!

Richie Rich!

In this episode, Jez catches up with Victorian Off-Road Championship (VORC) Social Media guru Darcy Richards to talk about how he has grown the VORC by using social media to promote it. It is now a monster. Plus he gives tips and tricks for young riders coming up that want to be noticed on how to use their social media to do that. Darcy is currently at university studying something along the lines of social media but us print dinosaurs over here at ADB dunno what that is!

Howzat?!

The boys at Dirt Bike Burrito caught up with Ross Howson from the legendary Maffra Mayhem Hard Enduro event to find out what happened to it running after the initial date got cancelled. Howson explains that the Wellington Shire Council Planning Department requested a Cultural Heritage Management Plan (CHMP) to process the permit for the Maffra Mayhem Hard Enduro. Howson explains what that is, why it couldn’t be supplied and if the event will still run.

A very VIP Experience

One of the most downloaded Dirt Bike Burrito podcasts is the one Jez did with Grabbo after going on a VIP Experience in the Blue Mountains back in February. Jez was lucky enough to tag along to a GASGAS VIP Experience lead by legendary rider Ben Grabham through the Blue Mountains in NSW. Joining Jez was his long-time friend Mick ” Tinman” Parker and the two bumbled their way through a weekend filled with bikes, single tracks and front brake cornering. Jez talks about his experience on the ride and if it’s worth it.

Small town Hick

Another popular episode has been the one DBB did with Russ Hicks. Hicks, a name you may not recognize in the motorcycle world, has a strong connection to the motorcycle industry and is also a massive dirtbike enthusiast. He’s mad for hard enduro and Jez was in a great battle with Russ at the first round of the Australian Hard Enduro Championship. Hicks bought Powersports Central because he wanted to be part of the dirtbike industry and is a very humble lad that proves you can take your kids and family with you  any time you go riding. He’s not a class winner, he’s not setting any records, he just goes out and enjoys what he does. Have a listen!
