ZXMOTO is officially headed for Australia and New Zealand, with Urban Moto Imports (UMI) confirming a long term distribution partnership that will see the fast rising manufacturer establish a local presence across both markets.
Urban Moto Imports has secured Australian distribution for ZXMOTO, with models due from Spring 2026.
The announcement marks a major expansion push for ZXMOTO, which has rapidly gained international attention through its debut season in the FIM World Supersport Championship.
ZXMOTO has already claimed three race wins during its first year of World Supersport competition, immediately putting the emerging manufacturer on the radar against some of the sport’s most established brands.
From performance road bikes to motocross, rally and enduro machinery, ZXMOTO is planning a push into multiple motorcycle categories.
Leading the charge is the race-winning ZXMOTO 820RR, which has already proven competitive in World Supersport competition. The company has also confirmed the 820RR triple-cylinder and 500RR four-cylinder road bikes will form a major part of its street-focused lineup.
Off-road, ZXMOTO is targeting motocross and enduro riders with the MX250 and MX450 four-stroke models, while the ZX300 two-stroke has been developed to tackle everything from trail riding through to hard enduro terrain.
The company has also confirmed a LAMS-approved model range is on the way.
ZXMOTO is led by founder Zhang Xue, who has made motorsport a central part of the brand’s global growth strategy.
Beyond its current World Supersport campaign, the company has also confirmed plans to compete in the Dakar Rally and the Shanghai round of MXGP later this year as it aggressively expands its racing footprint across multiple disciplines.
UMI CEO Joseph Elasmar said the partnership represented a major step forward for Urban Moto Imports and local riders.
“This is a significant signing for Urban Moto Imports and an exciting development for riders across Australia and New Zealand,” Elasmar said.
“ZXMOTO is a brand with serious momentum, a clear focus on performance and passion, and a product range that we believe will genuinely surprise people.”
Elasmar also pointed to the scale of the ZXMOTO operation as a major factor behind the agreement.
“Seeing the ZXMOTO operation first-hand gave us real confidence in the brand,” he explained. “The factory, facilities and team all point to a manufacturer with serious capability and a strong future ahead.”
Further details surrounding model availability and local specifications are expected to be announced closer to launch.
