Organisers of this weekend’s MXGP of Australia presented by Sitzler, the first to be held in the country for 24 years, this morning announced the 2026 dates as 18-20 September with limited tickets now on sale.
To celebrate the return of the event in 2026 there are 2,026 Three-Day Hot Pass tickets now available at 2025 prices until sold out. Better still, these first-release tickets will include access to the riders and their teams in the Paddock area, normally an additional cost.
Delivered by the NT Government in partnership with MXGP right-holders Infront Moto Racing and Motorcycling Australia, the event is being broadcast to more than 100 countries and a potential audience of over 700 million.
The success of the event has underscored the Territory’s reputation as Australia’s epicentre of motorsports said Tourism NT CEO Suzana Bishop.
“The passion and excitement that the MXGP of Australia has generated not just in the Territory but nationally and internationally has exceeded our expectations.
“Being able to announce next year’s dates so early, as well as ticket sales, means visitors will have plenty of time to plan their dream NT adventure off the track as well, from the thrill of waterfalls and wildlife in Kakadu National Park, just a few hours drive from Darwin, or taking the ultimate road trip to the Red Centre,” Ms Bishop said.
Racing continues today with white-knuckle showdowns that will see three international champions crowned in the MXGP, MX2 and WMX categories.
