We’ve put these boots through the wringer – from the backyard to the workshop, and yes, even a sneaky dirtbike ride or two (don’t tell OH&S). After months of punishment, the XtremeGuard boots are still kicking on strong and have earned their spot in our “We Recommend” section thanks to their rugged build, comfort, and impressive safety credentials.

We Liked

Comfort
These boots feel like Ugg boots wrapped in armour. The liner is thick, soft, and seriously warm – perfect for early mornings or wintery site work. You forget you’re in steel caps until you kick a rock and remember they’re built to take a beating.

Protection
With a steel toe cap, abrasion-resistant materials, a TPU toe bumper, and a high-cut design, these boots are great at protecting me  – we’ve worn them farm riding and appreciated the protection more than once.

Durability
After solid wear, including plenty of time spent caked in mud, the zips are still running smoothly, the stitching hasn’t frayed, and the inner liner is fully intact. The Vibram-style sole is still gripping hard, and the waterproofing hasn’t let us down yet.

Warmth
That plush liner isn’t just comfy—it’s toasty. On cold days, they keep your feet warm without the need for thick socks. The boots also breathe well enough that you don’t sweat buckets in warmer conditions either.

Fit & Style
The higher-cut calf support is a nice touch and helps with ankle stability. Plus, the all-black version looks sharp enough to wear out to the pub without looking like you’ve just left the jobsite.

We Didn’t Like

Size

Honestly, the only gripe is sizing. We went a half size too big, and while they’re still perfectly wearable, our toes do float a bit in the front. Lesson learned: with a high-cut boot like this, go for a snug fit so your foot doesn’t move when walking or climbing. That’s it—that’s the list.

Verdict

The KingGee XtremeGuard Safety Boots are premium work boots packed with features that most boots don’t offer. They’re comfortable, warm, offer top-notch protection, and can be worn from the jobsite to the track (and back again).
