Finding a helmet kids actually want to wear is half the battle, but Jax has been all-in on the Leatt Moto 3.5 Jr from the start. It’s light, comfortable and fits well, which means no complaining when it’s time to gear up. The big vents keep plenty of air flowing, even when the speed is low, and the goggles that come with it don’t fog, so there’s no stopping mid-ride to wipe lenses. It’s also packed with proper safety tech like Leatt’s 360º Turbine system, which is designed to help reduce impacts to the head, but from a kid’s point of view, it just feels good and stays comfy all ride.

Durability has been solid too. This thing has seen plenty of stacks and rough use, and it still looks barely used. The peak is still straight, nothing’s cracked, and the liner has held up well. The only small gripe is the cheek pads can pop loose when pulling the helmet on and off, which can be a bit annoying, but once it’s on, everything sits where it should. Overall, it’s a tough, comfortable helmet that does its job without fuss and more importantly, Jax is happy to wear it every time he rides.
