Husqvarna Racer sweeps Bilbao SuperEnduro for third consecutive overall victory
Husqvarna Factory Racing’s Billy Bolt continued his imperious start to the 2026 FIM SuperEnduro World Championship with another commanding overall victory at round three in Bilbao, Spain. Racing inside the spectacular Bizkaia Arena, the reigning champion delivered a flawless performance aboard his FE 350, claiming the SuperPole win and all three Prestige finals to secure maximum points for the third consecutive round.

From the outset, Bolt looked untouchable. He topped timed practice as he quickly adapted to the tight and technical Bilbao circuit before raising the bar in SuperPole. Executing a near-perfect lap, Bolt was the only rider to break the 34-second mark, earning three valuable championship points and underlining his status as the man to beat in 2026.
Prestige Finals: Bolt vs Walker Showdown
The night’s racing delivered a series of intense head-to-head battles between Bolt and Triumph Factory Racing Enduro Team’s Jonny Walker, who enjoyed his strongest outing of the season.
Prestige Final 1 saw Walker launch to the holeshot, immediately coming under pressure from Bolt. The pair traded blows for several laps in a thrilling bar-to-bar contest until a small mistake from Walker on lap five opened the door. Bolt seized the opportunity, took the lead, and powered away to win by 17 seconds. Walker recovered to finish second, while Eddie Karlsson (Stark Future) claimed third. Mitch Brightmore (X-GRIP GASGAS Racing Team) finished fourth, with Alfredo Gomez (Beta AG Racing) rounding out the top five.

In Final 2, Brightmore grabbed the holeshot despite nursing a dislocated shoulder sustained in morning training. The young Brit led impressively early on, but Walker and Bolt soon reeled him in. After several laps of pressure, Bolt found a decisive pass on Walker with around five laps remaining, then stretched his advantage to take his second win of the night. Walker again finished second, with Brightmore rewarded for his bravery with a well-earned third.

Final 3 followed a familiar script. Walker once again nailed the start and defended the lead valiantly as Bolt stalked him relentlessly. For five laps Walker resisted repeated attacks, but a mistake in the rock garden proved costly. Bolt swept through to take the lead and rode clear to complete a perfect 3-from-3 result. Walker settled for second, while Brightmore delivered another standout ride to claim third ahead of Karlsson and Diogo Vieira.
Perfect Night, Maximum Points
With three race wins and the SuperPole victory, Bolt claimed his third straight overall win of the season and the maximum 63 points on offer in Bilbao. Walker’s consistency earned him second overall, while Brightmore’s courageous performance despite injury secured him third. Karlsson finished fourth overall, and Josep Garcia edged out Gomez on a tiebreaker for fifth.

Bolt’s dominance in Spain means he now holds a commanding 40-point lead in the championship standings after three of seven rounds. The series now heads to Budapest, Hungary, for round four on January 31, where the chasing pack will be desperate to halt Bolt’s momentum as the championship reaches its midpoint.

Billy Bolt (Husqvarna): “It was a really good night and I’m very happy with how things turned out. The track was extremely difficult and quite different to what we’re used to, which made it a challenging evening for everyone. Even when things didn’t feel perfect out on track, I knew the pace was there, so I stayed calm, focused on my strengths, and trusted the process. We had to make a few adjustments as the night went on, but the team did a great job, and we worked through everything well. Overall, I’m pleased with my riding and how everything is coming together. The support has been incredible once again, and the atmosphere here in Bilbao was amazing.”
Jonny Walker (Triumph): “The speed was not quite there tonight to beat Billy, so I knew I needed to get good starts and defend my place as best I could. I feel like I had a good fire in me tonight.”
Mitch Brightmore (GASGAS): “I was running on adrenaline tonight with the shoulder injury. In a positive way it forced me to slow down and ride without pressure. That paid off with a podium result.”
