Two weeks ago, two-time Australian Champion Eliza Dennis sustained a serious spinal injury. At just thirteen years old, this incredible young athlete now faces a very different race — one where the finish line is recovery.

Right now, Eliza cannot feel from the waist down. But if there is one thing everyone who knows Eliza understands, it’s that she is a fighter. Courage, determination and resilience have always defined her, both on and off the track. The road ahead will require strength, patience and relentless effort. Eliza’s recovery will involve intensive rehabilitation, training and adapting to challenges that no thirteen-year-old should ever have to face. Yet those who have seen her race know that giving up simply isn’t part of who she is.
Last year in South Australia, Eliza showed the world what mental strength looks like. Racing with a broken collarbone, she refused to quit and went on to win. It was a moment that captured the spirit that makes her so special. “Remarkable” doesn’t begin to describe it.

Motocross, like all motorsport, is a family. On race day we compete fiercely — the battle begins when the gate drops and continues through the countless hours of training in gyms, pools and on the track when no one is watching. But when the chequered flag falls, the rivalry fades and respect takes its place. We understand the risks, the sacrifices and the commitment it takes to chase greatness.
Eliza has already inspired so many within our sport. She represents the new generation of women in motorsport — fearless, driven and determined to raise the bar. Now it’s our turn to rally behind her.

The motocross community has come together to launch this GoFundMe to support Eliza during her recovery. All funds raised will go directly toward Eliza, through her parents. This support will help give Eliza the best possible opportunity to regain independence and continue fighting on her road to recovery. We encourage clubs, riders, industry leaders and fans to rally together — host events, spread the word and help however you can. Every contribution, big or small, will make a difference.
Together, we can help Eliza fight this race. Because if there is one thing we know about Eliza Dennis… she never makes excuses — she just keeps fighting.
