Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Josep Garcia and Andrea Verona continued their impressive 2026 FIM EnduroGP World Championship campaigns at round four in Fafe, Portugal. Garcia delivered another standout weekend aboard his KTM 250 EXC-F with victory on Saturday and a runner-up finish on Sunday, while Verona remained consistently at the front on his KTM 450 EXC-F, securing an overall podium and pair of Enduro2 class runner-up results.
Friday evening’s Super Test took place in front of a huge crowd in Fafe, with times incredibly close throughout the field. Garcia once again demonstrated his speed to claim the fastest time and take victory in the Super Test, while Verona placed sixth overall, just seconds shy of the top positions in the tightly contested event.
Garcia carried that momentum into Saturday’s racing, making a strong start and quickly moving into the overall lead. The reigning EnduroGP champion maintained control throughout the day, winning three tests and never finishing outside the top three in the remaining six. His consistency paid off as he secured victory by 13 seconds overall, while also dominating the Enduro1 class by one minute and 45 seconds.
Sunday proved to be another strong day for the Spaniard. After ending lap one in second, just three seconds from the lead, Garcia steadily chipped away at the deficit as conditions evolved throughout the day. Finding his rhythm in the latter stages of the race, Josep ultimately secured second overall while comfortably extending his unbeaten Enduro1 run to eight victories from eight race days in 2026.
Verona delivered another consistent performance on Saturday. After recording top-four times throughout the opening laps, the Italian remained firmly in podium contention all day. Despite a few mistakes on the final lap costing valuable time, he secured third overall and second in Enduro2, with some of his strongest performances coming in the Cross Test.
Sunday saw Verona once again in the fight for the podium. Running third overall after lap one and maintaining that position through lap two, the Italian continued to push as the course became increasingly rough and demanding. A mistake in the final test ultimately dropped him to fifth overall, less than one second shy of fourth place. Nevertheless, Verona secured another runner-up finish in Enduro2, extending his remarkable streak to eight class podiums from eight race days this season.
Following four rounds, Garcia maintains his EnduroGP championship lead with a 22-point advantage, while his perfect Enduro1 scorecard in 2026 sees him hold a commanding 37-point lead in class. Verona remains second overall in the EnduroGP championship standings, while continuing to control the Enduro2 title race with a 13-point advantage thanks to his five class victories so far this season.
The 2026 FIM EnduroGP World Championship remains in Fafe next weekend for the GP of Portugal II, taking place from June 19-21.
