The rider lineup for the World Supercross Championship is beginning to take shape, with Joey Savatgy, Christian Craig, Vince Friese, Jorge Zaragoza and Greg Aranda all confirmed for the 2026 season ahead of the opening round in Calgary on August 8.
Joey Savatgy will return with Quad Lock Honda after finishing runner-up in the 2025 championship. Savatgy built last season around consistency, regularly placing himself in contention and capitalising when opportunities appeared across the calendar. Known for his aggressive and decisive riding style, Savatgy heads into 2026 as one of the clear title contenders following another strong season racing in the United States.
Joining him again at Quad Lock Honda is Christian Craig, who finished third overall in 2025. Craig’s campaign was highlighted by his Gold Coast GP performance and a measured approach that focused on limiting mistakes over the course of the championship. The Savatgy-Craig pairing gives Quad Lock Honda one of the strongest lineups in the series as the team looks to defend its teams’ championship from last season.
Stark Future has also retained both Vince Friese and Jorge Zaragoza for 2026 as it continues developing its all-electric World Supercross program. The Spanish-based team drew major attention in 2025 by taking its electric motorcycles head-to-head against traditional combustion-powered bikes across the championship.
Friese’s aggressive style and ability to shape races early contrasted with Zaragoza’s smoother, adaptable approach in changing conditions, giving the Stark program a broad spread of rider feedback throughout the season. With a full year of racing data and development now behind them, the team is expected to push for stronger results in 2026.
New entrant 595 Racing has signed experienced French rider Greg Aranda as it prepares for its first World Supercross campaign. Aranda scored points in the opening three rounds of the 2025 season before a hand injury at the Swedish GP ended his championship early.
His experience in the series is expected to be valuable for the Brazil-based outfit as it adapts to the demands of the global championship, including rapid turnarounds, changing venues and varying track conditions.
More rider announcements are expected in the lead-up to the 2026 World Supercross opener in Calgary, Canada, on August 8.
