We have taken delivery of a batch of Pirelli Scorpion MX32 tyres and Vee Rubber Ultra heavy duty tubes to test out for the next few months. We decided to go with a mix of mid/soft and mid/hard compounds so we can test out the difference and see if there is a compromise on grip or maybe a tyre that lasts longer.
To pair with these tyres we have gone with a set of Vee Rubber Ultra Heavy Duty tubes. Vee Rubber make a standard tube and then also an even thicker and stronger tube again but we decided to go with the one in the middle to test out with the tyres to see how they all perform.
Fitting was straight forward and took no more effort than any other brand out there. The Vee Rubber tubes being thicker require a little more effort to get inside the tyre but that is to be expected. With the tyres we also got some Pirelli tyre stickers that just add a little bit of extra flair to the bike. Lucky for us we have two set of wheels set up with mid/hards on one set of wheels and the mid/softs on another so we can swap them out quickly and easily at the track for comparison.
