Setting up the DeWalt Toughsystem 2.0 DXL was an absolute breeze. Everything slotted together like it was built for someone who loathes assembly manuals. Once set up, the first thing you notice is the sheer amount of space – theres loads of it! There are compartments for just about everything, and the best part is you can move them around to suit your gear. Whether its drill bits, hand tools or that collection of screws you keep ‘just in case’, theres a home for everything.

The drawers? Smooth as butter, no matter how much you cram in. Seriously, Ive loaded these things up to the brim, and they still glide effortlessly. The soft-touch doors add a premium feel that you dont usually associate with toolboxes, and the overall build quality is top-notch. After some solid use, nothing has broken or even looked like it might.

The worktop bench is a game-changer, especially when you need a quick spot to tinker or set up. Having a portable workstation right on top of your storage system makes life so much easier.

Now, the downside. At 25kg per drawer capacity and its overall robust design, this beast can be heavy. Moving it on my uneven concrete floor with its small wheels is a proper workout. If your workspace is perfectly flat, youre golden, but for anyone with uneven ground, you might want to brace yourself for a bit of tugging and pushing.

Still, the positives far outweigh this one minor gripe. The DeWalt Toughsystem 2.0 DXL isnt just storage, its a full-blown workshop upgrade. Sure, its heavy, but with quality this good, youll only ever move it when you absolutely have to. And lets be honest, once youve parked it in place, you wont want it to go anywhere anyway.
