What started as a “let’s see if this replaces a generator” experiment, the EcoFlow Delta Pro 3 has turned into a reliable power hub for everything from electric bikes to fridges and camera gear. It’s taken a bit of abuse too, including getting left in the back of the ute in the rain, and it hasn’t missed a beat.
We Liked
Endurance – It lasts an incredibly long time. Charging three electric balance bikes every day, running a fridge, and topping up phones, laptops and camera gear saw it stretch out to nearly four days before needing a recharge.
Capacity – The 4kWh battery is huge. Taking a Sur-Ron Hyper Bee from flat to full only uses less than 30% of the battery, which really shows how much power is on tap.
Versatility – There are heaps of ports and charging options. AC outlets, USB-A, USB-C and other outputs mean just about anything can plug straight in without adapters.
Solar – The ability to run solar into it is brilliant. Even a small panel trickle charging during the day helps keep the battery topped up on longer trips.
Durability – Ours got caught in the rain in the back of the ute and didn’t care at all. For something packed with electronics, it’s proven tougher than we expected.
Simplicity – Despite all the tech, it’s very easy to understand. The display is clear and the EcoFlow app makes monitoring power use simple.

We Didn’t Like
Weight – At over 50kg it is seriously heavy. Lifting it into a ute or trailer is a proper two-person job if you want to keep your back intact.
Finish – The sleek plastic side panels look great but seem like they could scratch easily, which makes you a bit nervous about throwing it around like normal camping gear.

Verdict
The Delta Pro 3 has proven to be an incredibly capable portable power station. It runs electric bikes, fridges, laptops and camera gear for days, charges quickly and works even better when paired with solar. Yes, it’s heavy and you’ll want to be careful not to scuff it up, but in terms of quiet, reliable power at camp it’s one of the most impressive setups we’ve used. For anyone running electric bikes or needing serious off-grid power, it’s a game changer.
