Beta riders enjoyed success on opposite sides of the globe over the weekend, with James Moore dominating South Africa’s IMPI Hard Enduro and Alfredo Gómez taking on one of Asia’s toughest extreme enduro events in Indonesia.

Racing in front of a home crowd, Moore was untouchable at the iconic IMPI Hard Enduro, one of South Africa’s biggest off-road events, which attracted more than 1,200 riders.

The young South African controlled the race from the opening stages, setting the pace across both days and riding alone at the front to seal a convincing overall victory.

“The bike was flawless and the team’s support made all the difference,” Moore said. “This weekend has given me a lot of confidence; it’s the perfect way to prepare for the Red Bull Romaniacs.”

Meanwhile, Alfredo Gómez headed to Indonesia for the Indonesian Jungle Hard Enduro at Hiu Selatan, a race renowned for its brutal mix of deep mud, river crossings, dense jungle and oppressive equatorial heat.

The experienced Spaniard used all of his hard enduro know-how to stay in contention throughout the weekend, finishing third on the opening day before backing it up with fourth on Sunday. His consistent results earned him fourth overall in the grand final in front of a large local crowd.

The results provide valuable momentum for Beta’s hard enduro campaign as attention turns to the upcoming Red Bull Romaniacs, one of the toughest races on the international extreme enduro calendar.
