After another month of intense riding, bringing the total hours on the Beta E-Kinder 16 Pro to nearly 200, this little machine continues to impress, even under heavy use. Jaxon rides it every day and it’s held up remarkably well.
Recently, however, we encountered the first significant issue: the bike no longer runs in full power mode. The Beta E-Kinder 16 Pro has a three-way switch to control its power modes, but now the first two positions are stuck in the slow mode, and the third only selects the medium power. I’m currently troubleshooting to determine whether it’s the controller or the switch that’s causing the problem. Despite this setback, it’s a testament to the bike’s durability that this is the only issue we’ve faced after so many hours of riding.
Aside from this, the Beta E-Kinder 16 Pro remains a standout in terms of performance. Jax absolutely loves the suspension and the power, describing it as “Crazy, dad!” The bike’s agility and lightweight design continue to make it loads of fun for Jax to ride, especially as Jaxon grows more adventurous. Every ride to kindergarten has become an opportunity for him to find something new to drop off or jump over, which speaks volumes about how much confidence this bike has given him.
The fact that nothing else has broken after such extensive use is a credit to its build quality. We’re looking forward to getting the power mode issue resolved so Jaxon can go back to ripping up the neighbourhood.
