After months of regular use, the Polisport Pro Octane has proven itself as more than just a fuel can—it’s a proper workshop and race-day essential. It’s still tough, still leak-free, and still makes most plastic jerry cans look second-rate. Both the standard nozzle and the quick-fill system continue to work well, and the added touches like the oil measuring jug have become part of the daily routine.

We Liked

Durability – This thing has copped plenty of use and hasn’t cracked, leaked, or warped. It still looks and performs like new.

Easy to Hold – The two-handle design is brilliant. It makes pouring into awkward tanks simple and stops the usual shaky balancing act.

Quick-Release Nozzle – On race days, or even just in the shed, the quick-fill cap has been a time saver. It seals tight and doesn’t dribble.

Measuring Cup – The detachable oil jug clipped to the side is one of those little features you don’t realise you need until you’ve used it. Clean, simple, and no extra bottles to carry.

No Leaks – Nine months in and still not a drop spilled where it shouldn’t. The seals and fittings have held up perfectly.

We Didn’t Like

Rigid Tube – The fuel hose itself is a bit stiff, which makes angling it into certain tanks more awkward than it should be.

Breather Position – The inbuilt breather works well… when it’s at the top. If it isn’t, fuel flow slows right down. It’s a small but annoying quirk that can catch you out mid-pour.

Verdict
The Polisport Pro Octane remains one of the best-designed fuel churns around. Strong, reliable, and packed with genuinely useful features, it’s been excellent across the board. The rigid hose and fiddly breather are minor frustrations, but they don’t outweigh the convenience and durability on offer. For riders who value kit that lasts, this one delivers. <i>Mitch Lees<i>
