PRODUCT TEST | BRIDGEDALE STORMSOCK | Product Evaluations

ADB's Sub Editor Warren Jack has been running the Bridgedale Stormsock to keep his feet dry. Here's how they're going after nine months.

Keeping your feet dry can go a long way to ensuring your comfort on a long ride, more so if the ride involves lots of water crossings. Having tried many various methods with limited success over the years I was happy to try the Bridgedale Stormsock to see how things went and I first tested them a few months ago. It was a successful experiment to say the least with my feet staying dry and comfortable all day.

WE LIKED

I really appreciated not having wet and cold feet or that horrible squelchy feeling somewhat like treading in something unpleasant in the dark. The Bridgedale Stormsock is comfortable, easy to get on and off and my feet stayed drier than a pommys bath towel.

WE DIDN’T LIKE

I wear knee braces, as do many of you, and it would be handy if the socks were a bit longer to reach under the knee brace straps. A minor thing that in no way detracts from the main purpose, which is to keep your feet dry. My first thought upon seeing the price was, “for a pair of socks?” but after putting the Bridgedale Sotrmsock to the test I think you get your moneys’ worth. What price comfort and dry feet at the day’s end?
