TESTED | MONI MOTO SMART GPS TRACKER | Product Evaluations

The Moni Moto is a tracking device that basically alerts you if your bike is moved. It has two components, the tracker and the fob. Here's our Moni Moto test.

The tracker is the size of a pack of playing cards and the fob is about as big as a 50 cent piece (remember them!) You simply hide the tracker on the bike and keep the fob near it at all times. If the tracker is more than 100m from the fob you will be notified. It worked great for our Moni Moto test.

You will need to download the Moni Moto App to set up both devices but it’s super easy. I hid the tracker under the seat of my Sherco 300 SE Factory and I put the fob in my hydration pack as I never leave home without it.

If your bike leaves the garage without the fob, you are sent an alert to your phone and receive a phone call from Moni Moto in case you miss the alert. You can then opt to track your bike! The two units talk to each other via Bluetooth.

We’ve done a few tests by taking the hydration pack down the road and as soon as we were about 100 metres from the bike we were alerted! The tracking unit takes two AA batteries which Moni Moto claims last up to a year! This is also good because it doesn’t have to be hardwired into your bike’s battery.

Moni Moto comes with an embedded eSIM card that covers most parts of the world, where 2G and 4G networks are available. It works with at least two different GSM service providers in most countries and in Oz, it’s fine.

More to come, stay tuned.
