Beta on top of the world with seven World Titles in a season | News

Steve Holcombe arrived in Germany needing to collect at least 10 points to become Enduro GP World Champion and just like last season, he gave an incredible show of strength winning a double victory.

On Saturday when he arrived the greatest consecration: becoming – for the second year running – Enduro Gp World Champion and then adding the Enduro 3 Category Title.

Steve Holcombe dominated the German GP by winning both race days. On the opening one he fought for the first place in the Enduro GP with his fellow countryman and brand partner Brad Freeman and, when the race was over, the advantage was only 5.44 seconds.

On Sunday, having pocketed the two World Titles, the Brit raced an impeccable race expressing all his potential and recording six best absolute times in the 10 specials, thus winning in the Enduro GP for the sixth time this season and in the Enduro 3 for the eleventh.

“On the opening day the goal was to be attached to Alex Salvini, with the passing of the special tests I started pushing and at the end of the day I won the day of competition in the Enduro GP,” said Holcombe.

“I’m happy with the titles won in the Enduro GP and in the E3 class and first of all I want to thank the whole team. The following day I started the race without any expectations but with the passage of the time I saw that I could finish the season with yet another victory and so it was.”

At the end of this extraordinary season, Beta has climbed on top of the world by also conquering the three Manufacturers World Titles: the most prestigious in the Enduro GP and in the Enduro 3 and Enduro 1, thanks respectively to Steve Holcombe and Brad Freeman.

And Brad Freeman for the Beta Boano Team has had a role as absolute protagonist for the Tuscan Company. Not only did he win the Wold Title in the Enduro 1 category, he also closed as Vice World Champion in the Enduro GP, behind Steve Holcombe.

Still for the Beta Boano Team, Matteo Cavallo graduated as Junior World Champion.

This gives Beta four rider World Titles, a Vice Enduro GP World Champion and another three Manufacturers World Titles for 2018.
