Yamaha AORC, Rounds 8 & 9 Kingston SE, SA – What You Need to Know  | News

The 2018 Yamaha Australian Off-Road Championship (AORC) is back this weekend with Rounds 8 & 9 at Kingston SE, SA.

Daniel Milner (E3), Daniel Sanders (E2), Luke Styke (E1) and Michael Driscoll (EJ) will all be out to improve their points lead. This weekend will see both Juniors and Seniors return to the sprint format after the first ever AORC desert cross country.

Hosts Keyneton Motorcycle club have put on a show here, putting together three different test for the weekends action. They are tight and technical and will put the riders skills on show as they battle the three five kilometre tests. The terrain here is a bit of a mix, riders will come across grass track, sand and hard packed areas in low tea tree scrub.

Kingston SE, South Australia
Kingston SE was founded in 1861 and is located about 240 kilometres southeast of the state capital of Adelaide and 138 kilometres north-west of the centre of the city of Mount Gambier. The population of the town is 1,425 and has the iconic massive lobster at the north entrance to the town, know as ‘Larry’ to the locals. The main industries in Kingston SE are fishing, wine-making, sheep and cattle farming and recreation, but it is quite the popular holiday spot throughout the year.

The students at Kingston Community School were lucky enough to have KTM Off-Road Enduro Team’s Daniel Milner and Lyndon Snodgrass visit the school, and tell them all about life as an AORC rider. Big thank you to Kingston Community School for hosting the riders and we look forward to seeing you at the track over the weekend.
